Being an only child and raised on a farm, Evie spent much time alone enjoying nature and creating stories in her mind about anything and everything. As a result, she later published a book of poetry: Journey to Me and two memoirs: Hardscrabble Girl, about her childhood and Vanishing Point, about her father*s last days.
She recalls with fondness her karate days with her grandson and their practice sessions. Besides books, she loves the movies. Rural grade school offered fun and learning. Family and friends were especially important. And animals〞especially cats〞offered her unique and precious friendships.
Evie divides her time between Salt Lake City and the family farm in North Dakota. Her column, ※Prairie Impressions,§ appeared weekly in her hometown newspaper, The Williston Daily Herald. Evie enjoys her hobbies of reading, writing, travel, and sharing with family and friends.
